Jesús Lisazo was born in Barakaldo, Bizkaia, on July 30 1961.

His work draws from the souces of the Basque School of Sculpture. Osteiza, Chillida, Ugarte or Basterretxea are a source of inspiration for him and a necessary step for the study of his evolution as an artist, the assimilation of these influences and his own inspiration, making him a unique artist with a language of his own.

Jesús Lizaso’s public work moves between the barely intuited figuration, the use of sturdy materials and the symbology.
