On a solo trip to Lanzarote I wanted to find a photographer for very specific and special shots for my new branding and website. I’m a spiritual teacher and movement guru so working with people to achieve a heart felt openess was very important to me in looking for a photographer. Photography is an intimate experience and needs a depth of safety and presence from both sides of the camera.
I interviewed a few different people and when I found and met Duska from Isla Fotografia I knew instantly she was perfect to shoot with. Before even seeing her photos her energy resonated with me and we agreed to create together.
Before during and after all the shoots she was clever and magical with ideas. Her professionalism and responsibility was top in the way she brought the ideas to light and showed up for me with provisions.
She worked quietly and with joyful patience. She listened to all my needs and gave me jaw-dropping gorgeous shots!
Her ideas to shoot in nature and underwater made the process fun and we ended up finding so many pictures to keep.
I loved everything she saw through her lens and how she edits and crafts her work into art is remarkable.

I met Duska and talked through a few ideas with her about what I was looking for to promote my small Yoga business- Yoga with Gill. I had no expectation of what was to come. On arriving at the location she selected the positions for the shoot the clothing that would be used – and we played with a variety Yoga and meditaion poses.
Duska thinks fast and sees through the eyes of the lens much better than any other photographer I have worked with before. The clothing chosen reflected the beautiful light in the sky- the stunning backdrop and the colours of the ocean.
Duska also decided to take some short film clips – I had no idea what she would later do with these. So when she sent me the suprise video, which she had put together with the words taken from my biography on my website- it was a complete shock – I was moved to tears!

Duska is a truely gifted photographer who shoots from the heart . The results of the work she did for me are top class- unimaginable. She is I can safely say the best photographer that I have used. Her passion for what she does shines through in her breath taking work.
